Regulatory context

What the status identifies — and what it does not imply.

Regulatory status identifies the authorised entity and applicable framework. It should not be read as blanket approval, endorsement or a guarantee of any engagement, provider, transaction or outcome.

What it does not imply

  • Blanket approval of every product, service, transaction, provider, opportunity or technology.
  • Guaranteed acceptance, onboarding, security, liquidity, performance or outcome.
  • Elimination of legal, market, operational, technology or counterparty risk.

Non-custodial operation and responsibility allocation

ISC

  • Communicates its own role and boundaries.
  • Applies relevant legal, regulatory, compliance and due-diligence requirements within the engagement context.

External providers

  • Remain responsible for their own acceptance and onboarding.

  • Retain responsibility for provider-specific functions they perform.

Clients / participants

  • Obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.

Where functions such as custody, trade execution, clearing, settlement, financing, lending or credit, margin or leverage, wallet management, market making, liquidity provision, exchange operation or discretionary portfolio management are performed by external providers, those functions should not be understood as directly supplied by ISC unless an approved legal source explicitly establishes otherwise.
